ICHTYOL. Qui est relatif aux branchies, ou qui en fait partie. Dents branchiales, nerfs branchiaux, appareil branchial. Une veine branchiale [chez les mollusques] marche le long de l'autre bord de la branchie, c'est-à-dire, le long de son bord interne et antérieur (CUVIER, Leçons d'anat. comp., t. 4, 1805, p. 396).
